Our Better than Barnwood Interior Northwestern Spruce wood products are hand made by Hewn artisans in our Oregon work shop. Each board is crafted from solid wood, and has its own natural character to compliment our coloring process.

All of our products are hand made to order. Lead time is estimated based on raw material availability, orders currently in production, received approval sample (when applicable), delivery method, and receipt of payment in full. Any delays can change the original quoted lead time. Large quantity orders with widths between 10-12” may require additional time to source raw materials.

Interior Northwestern Spruce Collection
Widths & Lengths
Our Northwestern Spruce is sold in nominal widths of 1×4, 1×6, 1×8, 1×10, and 1×12, with net widths from 3 ½” to 11 ¼” before milling. If milling is desired the net width (face) is reduced depending on the profile selected. Sold in random lengths, and may include 8 to 16 foot boards.
Thickness
Our Northwestern Spruce starts at 11/16” thick and can be milled to 9/16” and 1/4″ upon request. For stability purposes we don’t mill this material thinner than 1/4”.
Milling Profiles
We can mill our Northwestern Spruce boards with Square Edge, Shiplap or Tongue & Groove milling profiles. Custom milling is also available on larger quantity orders upon request.
Grade
Our Northwestern Spruce is a proprietary blend of Engelmann Spruce and Lodgepole Pine, with small knots and unique character. We have selected this material for its ability to work with our color processes.
