This Hualālai Mountain View Home in Kona is designed with a calm, modern island sensibility—clean rooflines, generous covered areas, and an easy indoor–outdoor rhythm that keeps the architecture feeling airy while still grounded and substantial.
Built by GM Construction, Inc., the project features Hewn’s Rift Sawn White Oak box beams, in our Smooth texture and a custom color. We produced a custom butt joint with locking fasteners to ensure the beams lined up perfectly, supporting crisp, continuous sightlines across the ceiling. The rift-sawn grain keeps the look refined and consistent, while the natural oak tones add quiet contrast and definition overhead, bringing structure, depth, and a crafted finish to the home’s open concept and modern living spaces.
